Our Story
To give God free rein is to surrender the deepest place of the heart. That posture shaped the foundation of Rein & Co.
Most organizations begin with a market analysis. This one began with a resignation letter.
In 2020, after 10 years at CNN, Janett Weaver stepped away from a thriving network career. She was in the final round for a promotion when she sensed God telling her it was time to leave. Instead of waiting to see if she got the role, she emailed the hiring manager and withdrew her name from consideration.
Not for a better offer. Not for a startup backed by investors. She stepped away because she believed God was calling her beyond the career she had built.
What followed wasn’t a business launch. It was a proving ground.
There were closed doors. Quiet seasons filled with doubt and the uncomfortable question: Did God really call her to do this? There were long stretches of wondering how the pieces would ever come together. God was giving her vision long before there was a structure to support it.
The production company started in 2010. The seed for the nonprofit was planted in 2015, waiting for the right season to breathe. The agency would come later, shaped by the work and the lessons along the way.
Then, in 2025, the picture finally became clear. The work God was calling her to do needed more than a production company. It needed an ecosystem.
That ecosystem became Rein & Co. Free Rein Productions. Jubilee. Every Captive Free.
Janett didn’t set out to build a company. She set out to be obedient. Rein & Co. is what obedience built.
